About Winmark Stamp and Sign
In 1962, our predecessor Jack Larson formed Larson Rubber Stamp Company. For the next 15 years, days were spent developing a loyal customer base while nights and weekends were devoted to the manufacturing of the products.
In 1977, Earl Winkelman purchased the company from Larson and changed the name to Winmark Incorporated. With new management in place Winmark broadened the product line to include more complex marking and identification applications. With the hard work of Earl and his family the business grew and flourished and Winmark Incorporated became a leading manufacturer of not only custom rubber stamps but also signs, name plates, name badges, stencils, tags, labels, embossing seals and other marking and identification products.
In 1989, Earl decided it was time to retire, selling the business to his two daughters, Wendy Lauer and Traci Szwedko. The sisters continued to build their customer base and offer new products over the years, stressing the exceptional service and quality products which our customers have come to know and expect.
In 2007, Wendy decided to retire and the business is now wholly owned and operated by Traci Szwedko. There is also a 3rd generation learning and working hard to take over the reins of this family owned business ensuring Winmark will be a major part of the marking industry for many years to come.
